The week was a small list. But nearly all of the issues were enjoyable. The new Black Widow/Hawkeye limited series has started with a bang.. plus it's good to see Natasha still sporting the red and black symbiote. Another great issue of Ultimate Black Panther amps up the fight against the terrorist organization known as Moon Knight. Duggan drops the third issue of "Fall of The House of X" and Wolverine continues the Sabertooth War. But of course... How can Chip Zdarsky drop another issue of Avengers Twilight and it not be my pick of the week?

This is a good week for my pull list. We got my highly anticipated next issue of MacKay's Avengers (with his free "Blood Hunt" preview), Ultimate X-Men, the next book from Hickman's rebooted Ultimate Universe, a Giant-sized Spider-Gwen, and more. But how could anything else be my number 1, when the ONE BOOK I've seen asking for, for years has finally come to pass...
Comic Book of The Week:
The Spectacular Spider-Men #1
Weisman / Ramos
I'm not gonna lie.. when I found out they were finally making this book, I was super stoked. If you read the preview Spider Team up…
Marvel's finally putting in work on the comic book side... at least in my opinion. 'The Sabertooth War' continues in the pages of Wolverine. The Amazing Spider-Man works to wrap up 'Gang War'. And I finally got 2 Batman reads that I enjoyed. But of course, Acuña and Zdarsky dropped the 3rd issue of Avengers: Twilight. So it has to be the comic book of the week.
Comic Book of The Week:
Avengers: Twilight #3
Zdarsky / Acuña
What else can I say about this limited series? Somehow Chip Zdarsky is a pro at writing compelling stories about lone heroes fighting against…
The undead lay siege to the Marvel Universe! Sink your teeth into the new Marvel Comics crossover event ‘Blood Hunt,’ coming this May.
A pretty decent pull list this week. In a couple of Hickman comics, the street-level Marvel heroes continue in the 'Gang War' event, Batman continues with the interesting 'Joker: Year One', and more quality X-books are available. And speaking of Hickman, I can't believe how his take on Ultimate Spider-Man has been flying under my radar. So I finally got to read the first issue and it hooked me. To be honest, the entire Hickman reboot of the Ultimate Universe has been great from the start. So can my of the week not be...
Comic Book of The Week:
Ultimate Spider-man #2…
Unfortunately, I have no. words for this list for the 2nd week in a row. Too much work! But I still want you to peep the pull list. Back to your regularly scheduled posting next week.
No words this week. just bask in the pull list.
This week was pretty good.. even if short on issues. "Wolverine's 'Sabertooth War'" picked up steam, "Dead X-Men" debuted with the surprise return of some deceased favorites, the final issue of Al Ewing's "Avengers, Inc." dropped with a somewhat satisfying end, and I picked up a few trades I'd been looking at for a while from "Batman", "Sabertooth" and "Blade". But the pick of the week has to still be Chip Zdarsky's 'Elseworlds' story of Captain America fighting back at a future fascist America in "Avengers Twilight #2"
Very little to work with this week.. a new issue of Detective Comics, another 'Gang War' tie-in and another issue of Hickman's G.O.D.S. limited series. This week being a slow week, I decided to pick up a few trade paperbacks of older comic runs I enjoyed. Being partial of X-comics, I grabbed two of their better reads. One was X-Force: Assault of Greymalkin, featuring Cable when he was a red-hot character. And the other is my pick of the week...
With each week of the new year, the quality of comics seems to be slowly building up. We got movement for both the "Gang War" and "Fall of The House of X" events, and the 3rs issue of the surprisingly good "ALIEN" comic from Marvel. But of course, how can Cbip Zdarsky and Daniel Acuña release an Avengers event comic and it not take the number one spot?
Comic of The Week:
Avengers: Twilight #1
Take the Avengers, destroy them, and build a dystopian future with the dream of freedom that has gone wrong. That's right! Yet another future tale of The…
Marvel's street-level Gang War continues with 3 more tie-ins. The mutant Fall of The House of X storyline brought you the "That Fall" last week,q and now continues with The Rise of The Power of X. A new volume of Ultimate Spider-man launches a new number one. And Wolverine kicks off The Sabertooth War. But my pick of the week goes to what's possibly my favorite book out right now:
Comic Book of The Week:
The Avengers #9
This week, we get the third installment of Twilight Dreaming as we kick off round two of The Avengers' battle with The Twilight Court. I can't put my finger…
I had very little time to read this week. So I just posted my expected favorite as the X-Men head into the next phase of the Fall of X. Here are my picks.
