I woke up today and saw that Apple just dropped new updated Homepods. I currently have 4 HomePods in house (2 standard size paired to the TV in the living room and 2 mini’s paired in the bedroom). Interestingly enough, the standards in the living room aren’t working properly. I have to reboot them every once an awhile.
So do I need to think about upgrading? At $300 a piece, it’s a pretty big investment for speakers. But I guess that would determine to updated features in the new one… which aren’t that great, in my opinion. New Silicon chip and temperature sensors aren’t features that would affect me. I was hoping they would ‘up’ the home assistant game to something like Alexa. Maybe I’ll wait until then.
