After the successful launch of the Xbox exclusive 'State of Decay' in 2013, Undead Labs followed up with the stellar State of Decay 2 five years later. Since then, they have been blessing the players of SoD2 with constant content updates and game mechanic tweaks that have kept the game relevent— even now in 2026! This year, we finally got a lot of news and previews of the most anticipated release of State of Decay 3. In ancticipation, i've picked up an started playing SoD2 and i'm having just as much fun with it that i did when i first grabbed it 8 years ago.

For the group of us who watched the original X-Men: The Animated Series when it first aired, we never thought in a million years that it would be revived. When I heard the announcement, i cringed a little thinking about a wave to Marvel properties that Disney had touched that didnb't live up to expectations. But season one was a huge surprise, keeping the same animation style and intro to give it more of a continuation than a reboot of the previous show. And then came the news of Beau DeMayo, the showrunner leaving the show due to allegations. Everyone thought the same thing: the show's decline was almost certain. But to my surprise, the first three episode were peak X-Men: TAS.

The series is absolute chaos in the best possible way. It’s like someone threw The Running Man, Dungeons & Dragons, alien reality TV, and a talking cat with a superiority complex into a blender, then hit liquefy. Carl is just a regular guy trying to survive after Earth gets turned into a deadly dungeon crawl, but the deeper he goes, the weirder, bloodier, and more addictive it gets. It’s hilarious, violent, surprisingly emotional, and completely unhinged. I started it thinking it would be fun. Now I’m obsessed.

Their rap freestyles kept showing up in my feed and I had no idea who they were — then I watched "Woke Up" and that was it. XG is seven Japanese girls based in South Korea making music rooted in late 90s and early 2000s R&B, rap, and dance. It sounds like something you grew up on, but fresher. Fully obsessed.
