Time For A Headphones Upgrade: Looking At The Apple AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) On Sale At Amazon

I have an abusive relationship with headphones.. meaning I usually wear them into the ground. I probably go through about half a dozen pairs each year. I'd like to just buy cheap pairs and treat them as disposable, but I can't deny I love nice sound quality. I've run the spectrum of brands, quality, and prices and I always seem to gravitate back toward Apple-branded headphones... even with the outrageous pricing! My last couple of pairs of headphones were both the Beats wireless 'tethered' in-ear and the Beats+ in-ear buds, which I bought both last year as my primary and backup…

Time To Upgrade My Mac, So I’m Looking At The Mac Studio

My 2020 Mac Mini has been a powerhouse for design and video for the past few years. But now it's starting to show it's age, so I'm looking at a Mac Studio. Anyone out there use one? I'd bite the bullet and get a Macbook Pro but I need more RAM and that would be twice the price. Nearly all the reviews say that's its a great machine for what I do on a day-to-day basis. With 32GB (or maybe 64GB) of RAM, it would allow me to be more productive on my job; mainly with video and music production.…

iPhone 15 Pro Max: Not Enough for Me to Upgrade from 13

My iPhone upgrade cycle is usually every two years. But recently, there seems to not been as much innovation in the newer iterations of the iPhone line. This years' iPhone 15 Pro Max has some nifty camera upgrades and a new USB-3 port, but is it enough to drop $1200? I say no. My iPhone 13 Pro Max is still working great. So I'll wait for the next big innovation in the iPhone line before I drop that much money on an upgrade.

With My M1 Mac mini Reaching the 3 Year Mark, It Might Be Time To Start Looking At Upgrading… Preferably, the M2 Mac Studio

I've been working on a Mac mini M1 machine for nearly three years. I was amazed at how powerful this $600 mini box was compared to my M1 MacBook Pro that I use for work. It's handled everything I've thrown at it with no issues or problems... until recently. The past couple of months I've been doing a lot of video editing work, and I must admit, the layers upon layers of 4K footage have pushed my Mac mini to the edge. Even though it manages its standard 16GB of memory very nicely, video editing (preferably Adobe After Effects) takes…

New Headphones Alert: OneOdio Monitor 60 Professional Studio Headphones

My last pair of Odio Monitors were excellent cans for mixing. They were cheap, but crazy balanced in sound. I had them for almost 3 years until they eventually broke from wear and tear. There was no reason to change so I immediately grabbed another pair. This time I went for a pair of studio headphones. The Monitor 60's seemed like a nice upgrade. I've only used them for a few hours mixing my latest song, but they seem better than my last pair. Well balanced but with better bass response. All-in-all, a nice purchase.
