I love the fact that tucked away within all the trap-soul and rap-inspired drill-rhythm music that passes for R&B music these days, there are still artists making soul music feels... well... soulful. The new cut by Amber Lucid feels so open and airy which drums that sound like they came from the DJ Premier drumkit…

Didn't really know about this cat until he popped up in my Tiktok feed. Nice flow and he knows how to pick beats. A nice balance of boom bap, lo-fi and modern styles. Dope material.

Catchy uptempo tune. I usually like her on the slower neo-style joints, but this one hits me the right way.
